Five Minute Mummy is here with an honest review of one of the hottest pieces of wearable tech, the FitBit Charge and its iPhone App.
The Fitbit is a fantastic way to get in shape by fitting more exercise into your normal daily routine. Lets be serious, who has the time or energy to hit the gym, and more to the point, we run around enough as it is. Even so we all feel like we could do more exercise, loose a few more pounds, get out more. The FitBit really is a great way of ticking all of these boxes.
I’ve been wearing mine for a few months and I’ve given it a serious road test. Not only has it been a great eye opener into my daily amount of activity, its been a brilliant way of getting my Mummy friends out and about too (and the kids, who have been totally worn out). I’ve also noticed that some of my friend are seriously competitive, you can challenge your friends to daily and weekly competitions via the App, and some of the girls have turned into competitive athletes (you know who you are).
It’s really given me a kick up the bum to get out more and even better I’ve lost 5lbs since wearing it, without even trying. It’s just simple changes like walking to the shop instead of taking the car, or getting the girls together for a bit of a walk after the school run. As they say…small changes make a big difference.
I did have one hiccup with the Charge, but after contacting the fantastic team at FitBit Support it was sorted really quickly and a new one was on its way.
